Control Erosion with Rock Rolls
Developed for use with coir fibre rolls or as toe protection, Rock Rolls are
flexible and permanent gabions designed for a variety of uses.
Rock Rolls are used to provide a solid foundation on top of which pre-vegetated
coir fibre rolls can be installed. The roots of the emergent plants then quickly
grow into the voids of the rock rolls giving long term erosion control and bank support.
Rock Rolls installed below coir units can also be used to support a filter fabric
or biodegradable matting.
