Armortec (UK) is a division of Concrete Products (Lincoln) 1980 Ltd. The company was founded in 1980 by the current Chairman, Richard Moss. Originally the main business involved the manufacture of building blocks for the construction market.
In 1984, the company acquired the licence to manufacture Armorloc
and Armorflex. These cellular concrete block
and mattress product ranges are used extensively throughout the UK for
erosion protection control applications in civil engineering. Other products
such as Pipeflex, Armorturf,
Porcupine and Rock
Rolls have since also been launched.
In January 2004, Concrete Products launched Armortec (UK) and has now
incorporated all of its erosion protection product range under this new
brand. Armortec (UK) therefore has over 20 years experience as sole UK
manufacturer and distributor of concrete erosion protection products.
Concrete Products also manufacturers decorative concrete paving and aggregates
under the brand name Living
Stone largely sold into garden centres and builders merchants. Paving
kits and bulk bags of decorative stone garden aggregates are sold through their StoneToHome
website.
Armortec (UK) also offers comprehensive technical support, backed up by a dedicated technical department, through its close association with Armortec (USA). Armorflex and Armorloc are manufactured in many countries worldwide and Armorflex has global recognition as the most proven flexible concrete revetment system available. The company is therefore well placed to provide technical advice and support from the design and specification stage, right through to installation, as well as Project Reports on previous schemes.
